IS CHILDBIRTH CLASS WORTH MY TIME?

“I’m too busy.”  “I’ll read a book.”  “I learned everything when I had my first baby.”  “My sister told me all about it.

”If you’ve used excuses like these for not signing up for childbirth classes, it’s time for a reality check.  Childbirth classes have changed since the days when women brought a partner and a pillow to learn breathing techniques for labor.  We teach you what to anticipate throughout the pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum as the reality of being a new parent sets in.

There are many benefits to participating in a childbirth class.  It gives you a better understanding of what could happen and how to prepare.  Our goal is that when the series of classes are over, you will know what to expect during your birth and hopefully not have any surprises that you don’t already understand.  Also, when any interventions that may happen or is offered to you, you will have the knowledge to be able to say yes or no or be encouraged to ask questions and not just have interventions done to your body without knowing what the effects are for you and the baby.

With cesarean rates as high as 44% in some of the hospital in the tri county area, we want you to be equipped to be able to lower that number and have all the tools you need to have a vaginal birth.

PRIVATE CLASSES

When you take a private class, your classes are designed just for you!  A private class consists of a certified childbirth educator, you and your partner.  Also, you choose the days and time of days that are best for you and we work our calendar around the dates you have open.

PUBLIC CLASSES

Many people prefer going to a public class.  You get to meet other soon to be mommies and their partner.  The interaction helps in the learning process and there is always lots of laughter!  Your certified childbirth educator will help to make sure you are prepared for your “labor” day.

Please contact regarding the schedule of our classes.

This is one of the busiest times of your life.  We want to help you during these months when you are probably working more hours than ever before.
